Meet our handsome Italian film director, William Ranieri.
William and I were put in touch together via our dearest friend Paul Diello.
Roasters coffee house in Brighton, was the perfect place to meet William for the first time. I was late, of course. I walked through the door and spotted William sat reading the paper with an expresso. (Of course then go and commit the ‘Italian cardinal sin’ by ordering a cappuccino.)
As soon as I sat down I had a feeling we would stay friends a very long time. Finding friends is sometimes like love-at-first-sight. There’s no formal back story; just a wonderful sense of familiarity and trust.
Within minutes we were sharing a mutual excitement to create something beautiful together for the music video. And then William listened to the track…
After one session of listening to Drive-A-Nail, William created an amazing storyboard and I was whisked-off to look at possible locations…
It was typical rainy afternoon but the light was perfect and the sweeping hills and pockets of woodlands of the Sussex landscape seemed like the best location to shoot a very dark-pop music video.
William Ranieri says
I’m looking forward to see those creations we are planning !
Simonne is a contagious shining dark star!
